Setting Up a Team Tournament

This guide walks you through setting up a combined team tournament


Setting Up Team Standings

  1. Navigate to the Event Page
    • Open your tournament and go to the "Teams" tab.
  2. Add Teams
    • Click "Add Team" and enter the teams that will compete in the event.
  3. Set Team Scoring Rules
    • Click the ⚙️ Settings Gear and specify the number of boards that count toward team standings.
      • Example: If you set this to 4, only the top 4 player scores per team will count.
      • If left blank, team standings will not be displayed.
  4. View Team Standings
    • Once set up, a Team Standings toggle will appear on all standings pages.
    • If all your sections are the same type (e.g., Swiss) and have matching tiebreaks (or none), you'll also see aggregate team standings across sections.


This setup makes it easy to run a team-based tournament while still using standard Swiss pairings for individual players!



Add teams from the "Teams" tab:



Set the number of boards that should count:


View team standings for a combined team tournament via the "Team" toggle. 



For tournaments with consistent sections, scroll down within Team standings to see aggregate team standings across all sections in the event:
